Principals Message
Welcome to our Greek School ! We have been teaching the Greek language and culture for over 50 years in the nation's capital Canberra.
Our aim is to help parents to teach the language and culture to our kids so that we can continue to have a thriving Greek Community and that we don't lose our important heritage because we live outside of Greece. We are most welcome of kids from all backgrounds, not just Greek kids.
Learning a language is not just limited to those who speak it at home or part of their heritage, speaking another language is a gift for life and there is plenty of evidence that shows learning another language assists with the healthy development of a child's brain in areas such as problem-solving and communication.

Meet the Teachers
Our teachers are the best ! They are dedicated, hard-working and fun-loving. Each of our teachers are passionate about our Greek language and culture and strive to provide a meaningful learning environment for our kids. Our students love our teachers so much that they will pester their parents to take them to Greek School.
Kyria Anastasia
Kalimera everyone I am Anastasia. I have been working with children for over 19 years, 14 of them were in Greece and 5 in Australia as the head Greek educator at the Greek Australian Pre-school and Childcare Centre in Yarralumla and the Greek School of Canberra. My vision for the kids I teach is to be proud of our heritage, culture, history and traditions.

Yasou! I am Kyriá Stella. I have a passion for teaching our children the wonderful Greek language, religion and culture. It is important to me that we pass our knowledge on to our kids and not to forget our important roots that have changed and inspired people the world over.

Kalimera! I am Dora and I spent 23 years teaching English to Greek students. I am now privileged to be teaching Greek to students in Australia. My goal is for my students to learn about their culture, heritage and religion, whilst developing their sense of pride in being Greek.
